Draft decisions impact UB
The deadline for declaring early for the NFL draft is tomorrow. And it's a deadline that has only peripherally impacted the Bulls for quite a while: The Bulls haven't had a player leave early although James Starks probably would have been drafted in the first three rounds.
But it could impact the Bulls depending on the opponents they face next season. Although the MAC portion of the schedule hasn't been released yet, there could be a rematch with Ball State who is losing quarterback Nate Davis to the NFL. Also, it looks like Central Michigan QB Dan LeFevour will remain in school for his senior year.
Meanwhile, Pitt figured to be the class of the Big East in 2009, but that was before LeSean McCoy decided to turn pro. That leaves the Panthers breaking in a new TB next season and the Bulls host Pitt Sept. 12 at UB Stadium.
